Promoting careers in the crane, rigging and specialized transport industry

Companies are looking for mechanics, riggers, equipment operators and many other roles, and there are great career opportunities for those willing to learn and work hard.

 

The centrepiece of the program is regular events around the country, hosted by major players in the industry, that showcase the opportunities to build rewarding and successful careers.

 

The program is aimed at high school and college students as well as veterans, and events will typically be attended by between 250 and 700 students.

 

Lift & Move USA and the hosts reach out to local schools and colleges and other organisations before each event.

  • Students and Parents

    Lift & Move USA is targeted at young people considering their future careers, including students in high school and those attending community and technical colleges.

     

    The kinds of vocational, technical and service opportunities available in the crane, rigging and heavy transport sectors may appeal in particular to students involved in SkillsUSA programs.

     

    Recent high school or college graduates without employment would also be interested in the event.

  • Military and Veterans

    Many of the skills and roles within the military translate into successful careers in the crane, rigging and specialized transportation industries, including administrative, engineering and logistical support activities.

Lift & Move USA is an industry-led initiative to address the skills gap in the USA's crane, rigging and specialized transport sectors.
